Description
Mica painting of a barefoot, moustached hookah bearer wearing a white turban, long white robe and waist sash over a finely patterned lower garment. He supports a tall hookah with a flared, geometrically decorated base, a green bowl with a white cover, and a yellow hose arranged in large loops across his body. Fine grey linework articulates the white garments, while red, yellow and raised white details ornament the smoking apparatus; the figure stands on a reddish-brown ground.
